The hidden gem

We are lucky enough to have Bridge End gardens in the centre of Saffron Walden, a series of formal gardens created in the 1840s by a well known local Quaker family and then leased to the town, and on a day like today it is a pleasure to stroll down to the shops , buy some food for a picnic and then eat it just a stones throw from the hubbub and heat of town.
