Humble buttercup

Today was one of those serious gardening days.  More sweet peas have been moved from their sheltered nursery to their summer home fully exposed to whatever the weather decides to do.  More bedding plants have been planted though I have lost quite a few with these chilly nights.  And the grass has been cut.  More serious gardening tomorrow.

All this tender care and the buttercups just get on with it.  I would imagine if there was consciousness amongst plants, buttercups would feel superior to sweet peas.  They live in the real world after all.
