Was It Really So Long Ago

Zoo Cadet

We all headed to the zoo today with Nan, her first visit in many years - lots of changes to take in. The weather was bright, but for the most part in the morning at least, it was cool. Many of the animals were resolutely indoors, so we enjoyed cage after cage of native vegetation interspersed by enrichment areas unpopulated.

After a picnic lunch in the company of a gaggle of goslings, it was time for Miss I and Beloved to head to the encounter reception. The birthday present given back in April delivered lots of happy engagement with animals ranging from Aardvarks, giant tortoises, llamas, alpacas, rhinos, wolves and of course the tigers.

Meanwhile Miss C, I, Master H and Nan continued our walking tour of the zoo, stopping en-route at the butterfly house.
