Holiday accommodation

For our final trip we visit Snettisham to see the thousands of knot that are roosting during "the high tide. We walk past this line of holiday homes on a shingle spit sandwiched between a saline lagoon and the sea and wonder how they fared in the sea surge of December 2013.

It has been a really windy weekend in which my tent poles came apart, but we still managed to see plenty of birds. ?Highlights included several barn owls, bittern, nightjar performing in the dusk on the Heath, turtle dove, a good number of various warblers in full song. And apart from the birds there was a water vole in full view and an adder that I nearly stepped on.

Apologies for my inability to post, view or generally connect with the world of blip over the weekend. Once again, I will try to catch up!
