Meddling with medlars

We've been given truck loads of medlars to do something with. 

They've been 'bletted', which basically means that they've been picked and left to rot for a month or two.  

Tomorrow we'll boil them and then leave them overnight to steep, then strain and throw sugar at the reserved liquid. 

We'll see.
