Norfolk Sunset

The end to a wonderful day.
Beautiful sunshine all day, even if there was a cool ( cold) breeze blowing in off the sea!
Good journey down.
First stop Brancaster Staith for a bowl of cockles, and a crab sandwich from the cabin by the harbour.
Then to RSPB Titchwell.
Had a walk round the reserve, and down to the beach.
Highlights :
Spoonbill
Red-Crested Pochards ( not seen before)
Meadow Pipit
Marsh Harriers nesting.
Avocets
Followed by tea and scones.
A drive along the coast, and arrived at our B&B where we were given tea, and home made cherry and almond cake.
Had a good chat with our host, and another coiple who were staying there. Found we had a lot in common!
After a little rest it was out for our prebooked evening meal at the Wiverton Bell.
Managed to eat just one course, of slow roasted belly pork, apple, cabbage, and chorizo mash. Delicious, but no room for pud.!
It was such a beautiful evening, we drove to Cley and down to the shingle bank. Had a look over the marshes, and on the way back to our delight, a barn owl was hunting in a ditch by the road. We stopped the car, and I managed to get a few shots. ( see extras)
Then as the sun was setting we drove down to Blakeney Quay, and watched the sunset.
I have put some more photos on my" extras", but decided the shot of the sunset had to be my blip.
The end of a perfect day!
