SYDNEY HARBOUR WALK..... Part 1...

.... following an earlier adventure by Hobbs's Run and friends a few years back, of traversing the walks on Sydney Harbour in sectors, it was agreed earlier this year we should do a sector or three!!!

So today was the day for sector one!

Met Hobbs and Trish on the train this morning and we ended up at the start of today's walk in Manly Cove, after a ferry ride across the magical Harbour, on what was again weather wise just simply the perfect day for an adventure like this.

Have a look at extra #1 and see Hobbs pointing our to Trish where we were at that point and where we were heading to finish at Spit Bridge. Have a look closely and you can see the "red trail line" from Manly Cove to the Spit a total of about 10 kilometres and which took us 5 hours.

Of course being intrepid Blippers we stopped many times to take in the wonderful sights and get some shots.

Liked this one overlooking  Crater Cove to the Harbour Heads (North on left) , again if you look in large you may see some old cottages on the shoreline (at base and centre of pic), have a read of this info re the Coves history re these cottages.
And, to get your "bearings" to the right following water you head to Sydney proper, and to the left you would be in Manly Cove, straight ahead out into the "wild blue yonder" and finish in New Zealand.

Also check "fearless leader Hobbs" in extra #2 as he surveys Middle Harbour.

A really wonderful day and we agreed on the train ride home to do a few more sectors at some point..... "watch this space", thanks Hobbs for the idea most enjoyable, even if I am now hardly able to walk, and ready to hit the sack!!! lol - But comments may well be tomorrow!!!!

Enjoy, and have a look in LARGE
