Daisy Table

While trying to take a picture of another insect in a force 10 gale in the ox eye daisies, I noticed this crab spider feeding off a fly on another.  Crab spiders are amazing creatures, you usually find them on either yellow or white flowers (or both those colours together like here!) and they are very cunning, as they can change their colours to match the flowers (takes a few days) and then they sit and wait camouflaged for an unsuspecting insect to pounce upon, tapping them between their crab-like front legs, like this fly here... !  I know, a little macabre, but this is nature!  (don't you just hate people who say that?  To justify the violence and the horror lol)

Dad is all packed, I'm all in a flap... Off for a walk in a mo across the fields to clear our heads and hopefully give us a good night's restful sleep! xxx
