Juvenile Great Tit

One of these days, I might get up early enough to take a photo of the Greater Spotted Woodpecker at our feeders. There's a pair in the patch of woodland beyond our fence, but they fly off at the slightest suggestion of human presence.

It would help if mornings were warmer as then it would be no problem sitting outside waiting, cradling a camera.

In the meantime, there are plenty of small garden birds who are not so timid. I think this is a juvenile Great Tit. I've also added a photo of a rather harassed looking robin who has been diligently feeding a brood in the Leylandii in next door's garden.
