Knottman2

Broad-bodied Chaser

An immature male. Not long emerged I should think. Clinging to a Reed stem about four feet above the ground.
This species is widespread and common in Southern England and Wales. It has expanded into Northern England in the past few years and is now found here at RSPB Leighton Moss.

Just a tip for older blippers. If your eyesight is not as good as it was you might miss things like this as you walk along the path. Look for someone with a tripod and a long lens. They will move over to let you have a turn. I expect their photo will be good enough for an A3 print. But I am not unhappy with mine using my hand held bridge camera.
