Sebastopol

This wall, in the nearby village of Ellerker, is curiously named "Sebastopol". The story is that in Victorian times the owner of the cottage had an outdoor toilet in full view of the manor house opposite. This offended the owner of the manor (who had made his fortune shipping arms to the Crimea) and he built a wall around the cottage using ballast brought back from Sebastopol.
