It could be .......

...... a butterfly ..... but it's not!  Thanks to Google I have found out that this is a White Water Crowfoot (Ranunculus aquatilis).  I know it's not a perfect specimen but then neither am I!  Spotted it on a walk by Calder Water this morning.
