Journeyman Joe

It seems only yesterday that we were taking Joe for his first days in nursery. And now today, he left for his year 6 residential with his classmates. Just a click of the fingers, and whoosh... here we are.

He's only away for a few days, but his absence is immediately felt, and profoundly. He'll have a great time, outdoor activities, adventures, and excitement, and it's all about growing up of course. 

You just have to wonder sometimes though, who will have to adjust more as he enters his soon-coming teenage independent years. Him? Or us?
