Tanker in The Solent

Lazing on the beach on Tuesday lunchtime watching the ships go by. 

Tankers, Car transporters, Container ships and Cruise Liners are all on show as they travel to and from Southampton Docks or Fawley Oil Refinery. Some tankers, when awaiting orders, sometimes drop anchor at St Helens  anchorage just off the north east coast of the Isle of Wight.

There's nothing as awesome as watching the large container ships, some of which are almost a quarter of a mile long, sailing by and of course the super tankers, it amazes me how they manoeuvre something as big as these ships are.
