The castle

At the end of a perfect warm day (which I spent closeted indoors at day one of Synod) I found myself-still in the company of the Argyll synod members - at the diocesan dinner in the Overseas League in Princes Street. The windows were wide open, and as the last of the sun cast this magical light on Edinburgh Castle you might have seen several of us hanging out of said windows taking the chance to photograph the castle without the telegraph wires that get in the way of street level photos.

Great dinner, by the way - and very, very noisy...
