Fritillary

I am not much of a whiz on butterflies but I think this is a fritillary, of which there are many. There were several on the echinaceas this afternoon. Late afternoon seems to bring them out and there are clouds of little white ones and, this year, hackberry butterflies which can occur in great swarms.

Today has been hot and windy after a short shower this morning. Tomorrow the forecast speaks of a high of 74 but then back into the 80s.
Thank you for all the stars for the clouds yesterday. They did not produce much rain!
