Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble, then...

Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble, then fun, fun, fun, playing in the puddle...
It poured and poured most of the day today, really heavy and windy at times.  The rain pounding into the bird bath made it look like a witch's cauldron boiling away.  The rain had stopped by the time our Granddaughter got off the school bus.  As soon as she got in our house she asked to do her reading homework, we did it right away as she wanted, she quickly ate a snack and then said, "Come-on Pappa, we're off outside to play in the big puddle.  Off with her socks and sneakers, rolled her leggings right up, she ran down the driveway to jump, stomp, laugh and play in the largest of puddles that hadn't drained away.  She got mud all over her feet and hands-waving her hands up for me to see!  When she came in I asked her if she wanted to take a bath - "Yessiree!"    She got out all the bath funnels and toys she used to play with when smaller and played for a while in the warm water I'd put bubble bath liquid in.  I asked if she'd like a real bubble bath - she looked surprised when I switched on the air bubbles which soon made her deep in bubbles having the blowing air play on her hands when she put them next to the air holes - she loved it.  She wasn't out long before her Dad came to pick her up - he said, "Two baths in one day, unbelievable!"   She quickly told him how much fun she'd had in the puddle getting dirty as well as getting clean in a real bubble bath!
The rain storms did bring a lot of branches down but the remaining puddles created an opportunity for fun!
