Coot with cootlets

Yes, 'cootlets' is the right word! Shot at Platt Fields Park, in South Manchester. The cootlets have left their infant, spiky orange hair punk stage and are now becoming a little more coot like. Camera skills seem to be improving and this is approaching focus, although overexposed for the white shield of the adult bird.
