The card players

Groups of men often gathered in the street or a park to play cards or chess or to simply watch and comment on other players.  I never saw any women in these games.

In today's extra photos:
The Armenian alphabet garden at Saint Mesrop Mashtots Cathedral - the burial place of the man who created the Armenian alphabet. There are 36 kachkars (or cross stones), each one depicting a letter of the Armenian alphabet.
All 36 letters of the  Armenian alphabet on one stone.
An alternative view of the churches featured in this blip.  The old church on the right dates back to the 13th century. The newer building was completed in 2014.
