Through these eyes

Grebe nest

Staying in Reading to walk more of the Thames Path.

Spotted a pair of Grebe tending to the eggs in their nest.  I was hoping to get a shot of the male and female both on the nest but as soon as the male arrived the female swam off (she must have been very hungry!).

The male spent ages swimming around the nest tidying up before turning the eggs and settling down on them.

Kwchas did some technical jiggery pokkery so I was able to get my photo onto my kindle fire so I could upload it, so I should be able to blip whilst we are away now :-)

Extra Photo:  Dad on the nest turning the eggs.
