Matilda's Sunset

We continued our road trip to Scotland by driving over the backbone of England along the A66. We arrived at our campsite mid afternoon without further mishap.

After setting up camp we ventured into the local town to have a fish supper and to stock up with supplies. On our return we were visited by one of our old friends who is running the car show this weekend. He brought us sone Iron Bru, carrot cake and a heater valve for Matilda. He then set about fitting it whilst the kettle was set to work. He even arrived wearing his kilt, sporran and sgian dubh!

As we chatted over a mug of coffee and a fair helping of carrot cake Matilda watched the sunset disappear behind the Isles of Arran. This is the view I have from my tent.

Tomorrow we head out for a local tour of the coast with a number of other Morris Minors.
