Tube... punctured tube. Rim tape caused it, and then caught the patch whilst inflating the tube. Both now heading for the bin, after being replaced with much older ones from an ancient mountain bike.

Internet (window) shopping for bits to refurbish that old mountain bike. Needs new wheels and complete transmission system – chain; spockets; deraileurs/gear changers; levers; and cables - and now also a rim tape; tube; and tyre for one wheel. The tyre was nabbed a while back.

With bicycles of various ages, and states of repair, I usually try to have a spare one ready for emergencies. Let that slip whilst attempting to find forks for the old workhorse... and am still wondering if it's really worthwhile fixing that one.
