View from the top

Had some friends visiting Brisbane from the US and we went for a drive up Mount Coot-Tha, which affords a very nice view of the Brisbane area. The city certainly has grown a lot in the past 15 years - I estimate that the number of skyscrapers has probably doubled in that time, or even tripled. Anyway the panorama from the top and this is the view towards the city itself. It was an awesome, clear day which is quite rare these days - there's often a haze as Brisbane is subject to temperature inversion.

You can also see the Western freeway in the bottom left corner - complete with roadworks and a giant shed which marks the starting point of the Legacy Way - yet another tunnel under construction. Hopefully more people will use this one than the last tunnel!
