Looking for balance.

My goal heading into the busy season here is to maintain a better balance with work and play!   So after 5-6 days in the studio - i'm happily playing in the painting/office studio...as opposed to the mudroom studio!!!

I've long admired this artist Debora Stewart who paints in an abstract manner, and so for $17 i can sit here in the comfort of my own home and watch her DVD as many times as i like!   Oh thank god for the interweb!

while i'm watching the dvd i'm doing some of the exercises she is showing us.   taking a viewfinder and 'looking' for exciting abstract compositions within a larger image!  very fun!   i'm now almost ready to take it to the next level, which is doing some smaller colour studies on sanded paper with pastels.

a rainy day here so it's just as well i am happily playing away in here!!!
