Walking the tightrope

The Dassie (Rock Hyrax) community was very active today in Periwinkle Lane. Their numbers are increasing at an alarming rate and they were popping out of their tunnels in the undergrowth to enjoy the warmth of the sun. It was interesting to see them nibbling  the Aloe leaves and also finding comfortable places in the Aloe bushes to lie down and survey the passing scene.
I have posted an extra photo of a group of them walking along Periwinkle Lane (just opposite our house) and showing their disapproval at a Mongoose who kept on  making an appearance and  irritating them - they kept chasing it away.
It's been another lovely Winter's day.
Tomorrow hubby T and I are off to Plettenburg Bay for a few days of golf and visiting daughter S who is visiting from Abu Dhabi.
