Visit to Glastonbury

I haven't uploaded for a couple of days as just felt so exhausted when I've got home that all inspiration left me for taking photos. Think the year is catching up but nearly there - only 5 weeks until the end of term .
Arrived home to a letter from Teachers Pensions saying they couldn't process my application for reasons too complicated to go into here but my blood pressure shot up - hopefully soon be sorted out - it is partly because our school became an academy a few years ago so bizarrely who employs me is now a little blurred!
Had a lovely time with my friends Lesley and Bob who are staying at a cottage near Frome for a week. We went round the Abbey at Glastonbury. We were really taken with this sculpture - a statue if Sigrid a 10th century monk who rode on an ass and became Archbishop of Canterbury. Spot the little lizards.
Also added a photo of the simple chapel which was a place of pilgrimage and a beautifully carved archway.
Then we went for lunch at a cafe on the Levels at Shoreham. Our walk near the Sweet Track was curtailed because we couldn't take Rosie their dog on the Nature reserve so we walked along a rhine and heard the cuckoo.Glorious.
Paul stayed with Stan who has 4 A level exams next week - he gardened and gave moral support. So it will all be done in a weeks time !
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
