Exhausted Land Rover

23 years ago we had a wide-bore stainless steel exhaust fitted to our 3.5 V8 110. Over the years and several hundred thousand miles the stainless steel has rusted quite a lot, but more problematic, has became increasingly brittle, cracking up regularly and sealing badly.

Today we are down at Double-S Exhausts in Collumpton and our first job is to wrap the manifolds - essential to protect the mechanics hands. They glow red hot when the engine is running. Much easier to do off the vehicle than in situ.

Thanks to G for help in getting the job done in double-quick time.
