A day of killing time on Skye having had to leave the Black Shed in the morning, but not getting into the equally basically named Barn on the Glenelg peninsula till 4pm (though we cheated and checked to see if the cleaners were gone at 3, and they were).

Dodging the occasional shower, we took some winding roads, visited a gallery, headed down to Tokavaig and Ord in Sleat, before hopping on the Kylerhea to Glenelg ferry and driving over the formidable Mam Ratagan pass (which I intend to try in the steeper direction on the bike, 2.8 miles, 1300 feet or so of climbing, and an 'average' gradient of something like 1 in 12 or 13 - I'm not masichistic enough to carry on the Glenelg and then do the climb in reverse as well, even if the average from there is only about 1 in 16 or 17).

New place is well stocked, looking straight out onto Loch Duich, and allegedly there are lots of otters here. We'll see...
