IT'S THAT POT AGAIN

Seen from above on my back steps...

Blissfully lazy day of bacon & eggs followed by toast & homemade marmalade & later out to the butcher - lamb for saag gosht  mmmmm :o)

The pseudo-Gaelic pattern was red earthenware clay inlaid into stoneware - took an age to do - then after the biscuit firing it was sprayed with a rutile glaze & fired to 1280°C in a reducing atmosphere. The rutile gives the mauves & blues thanks to iron & lithium...
