Glasgow School of Art Degree Show 2015

We went along to the Reid Building this afternoon, to take in some of the Degree Show.  A special reason to be there, as the daughter of friends is exhibiting her jewellery, and her work appears on many of the advertising banners and posters.  You can see some of Rachel's work here.

Many strong exhibits, and enthusiastic young people talking about their ideas and creativity. I was particularly impressed with some of the jewellery, woven textiles, and product design.

It was my first opportunity to see beyond the ground floor of the Reid Building. So interesting to see the light wells, and clever internal windows. Even the staircases had interest for me.

And I had to smile at the colourful decoration on the scaffolding outside. Knitted sections, with woolly pompoms and flags.
