After a very dull start, expectations for Sunday were not good, but from about mid-day the weather improved dramatically.

This meant being consigned to reluctant work detail in the garden for most of the day...the evening dawg walk was brief, but the sun still dazzled through the scattered wheat stalks, remnants of last year's planting.
