Brittlestar

Another early start  and another day of glorious weather and outstanding dives. This morning we headed out to a pinnacle in the Sound of Jura, south of Loch Sween. My buddy Cyclops and I had a lovely dive on the boulder slope. We saw another octopus, which posed nicely for Cyclops, dogfish and loads of nudibranchs.

We stopped for lunch on Eilean Mor, which has fantastic views of Jura, the mainland and the various neighbouring islands in the Sound. Eilean Mor is home to St Cormac's Chapel, a tiny church established in the 13th Century.

This afternoon we ended the trip on a high, with a swift but shallow drift dive from Loch Sween into the mouth of Linne Mhuirich. What an amazing place, the variety of marine life is staggering. This a brittlestar languorously draped over the weed.
