what we came to see.  Today we are in Juneau, we don't normally do 'ship's tours' but on this cruise we (I) have chosen to do 3, this is the first of them.

Whale watching, because the migrating season has only just started there weren't many whales to watch.  However, I was lucky enough to get this shot. 

The State of Alaska now has strict rules regarding wild life conservation, and boats on the water are not allowed to get inside a 100 yard distance  of the whales, similarly they cannot stay more than 15 minutes in any one place.

There was quite an abundance of other wild life,  a huge colony of sea lions and we saw quite a few bald eagles flying over head.
