While I was busy eradicating queen cups in all the beehives, Franz turned up with one of his tractors and a large shovel full of roofing tiles. We had mentioned to him a week or so ago that the track out of the garden into the forest was now very muddy and soft and being Franz it wasn't long before he came up with a solution.

Roof tiles are good for paths as they are a "natural" product, break down easily into small pieces and can be compacted. He then returned with his smaller Deutz D4006 to roll the tiles. I took a quick break from under my beekeeping protective hood to take a quick snap - Angie & Franz did all the work.
