Centre of the Rose

Apparently this is a rose, but I'm not entirely sure: please comment to let me know.

This little beauty is hidden behind a large prickly green plant in the garden, so a few scratches and a small amount of annoyance at nature was necessary for this photograph. I'm joking: nature is awesome! (It's my favourite photography topic if you haven't noticed already ;] )
