Wide Angle Wednesday - Corners

Very frosty this morning!
Stafford Chambers building on the corner of Stafford & Beswick Streets, Stafford Street being the main street of Timaru.
The building is bathed in the mid afternoon sunshine, and I notice a gull flying along the street - not unusual as we are a town built on the seashore.
Timaru has many beautiful Victorian era facades along our main street, which in the main have been maintained and restored.  Something our city  town is very proud of.
Back when I first started working (like 100 years ago) my workplace (National Insurance) was on the shady side of Beswick Street (on left), my sister worked directly over the street.  Doug worked in the tall more modern building far right way in the distance.

We enjoyed a walk this afternoon, around the bay, over the cliffs and back - chilly but invigorating.  Then off to scrounge a coffee from friends.

Oh, talking of coffee that reminds me - the shop at street level call 2Stags is our most favoured place for a coffee if needed.
