Damselfly - Banded Demoiselle

A gentle stroll along the Otter Estuary before our friends returned home.  Such a change in the vegetation from the winter views, in places you can hardly see the river.  We came across several Damselflies at one spot and had great fun trying to get photographs of them.  I believe the Damselfly is  a male Banded Demoiselle, (Calopteryx splendens).

Just for the record yesterday was the day a small shelf fell from the wardrobe and a bottle of nail varnish collided with some perfume bottles on the way down.  A very large red stain on the new cream carpet.  Have now phoned the insurance company after local stain removal people have advised there is little they can do.
