Great Spotted Woodpecker

I was out in the rain and wind trying to get a decent shot of a particular flower. It just never stayed still even with me holding the stem. Eventually I considered picking one and taking it inside!
On my way I realise Mr Woody is on the feeder. Doesn't he look splendid? I managed two shots before he heard the click or spotted me. I think he has been in the wash and has come out whiter than white!
Not a very nice day so as we had a voucher for £5 off if you spent £40 in M & S we went into Inverness and I now have a fridge full of nice things to eat etc.
