Feeding Starlings

I think this shot shows just how competitive meal times are in the bird world? Even as young fledglings,I think they would inflict quite a lot of damage with those sharp beaks?
  To freeze the action I cranked up the shutter speed to 1/500 sec. with lens wide open @ f6.3.ISO came in @ a frightening 6400.
   But as you can see,the shots are quite usable? In fact it is why I bought the D800!
