South Beach

The beaches at Tenby are the most amazing I have seen. They stretch for two and a half miles comprising North Beach and this one, South Beach. They are extremely clean and, at the moment, very empty. This lifeguard station is not exactly Baywatch but take my word the person inside is topless!

We visited the town museum and art gallery this morning. Augustus John and his sister Gwen were born in Pembrokeshire, Augustus in Tenby, and some of their work was on display. After coffee we went back to the apartment for lunch and a bit of tennis from Queens.

This afternoon we visited an NT property, The Merchant's House, in the centre of town. Then after a cup of tea and a walk around we had dinner at the Ocean Italian restaurant, an excellent seafood pasta, overlooking the harbour.
