Beltane Day Five

At the horses last night I was impressed by the number in crowd who had a  rosette on their lapels.  "Crowning Lady 1996"   "First Courtier 1959" that kind of thing.   To have been chosen (Maybe when in Primary 7) to be a Principal in the festival bestows an honour that stays with you all your life in this town.    A bit strange actually.

But here's a nice one.  Fifty years ago the Cornet and his Lass must have moved on to marriage.  And they're still together.     "Safe oot - safe in"
