Gare de Lyon, Paris

We've landed at Charles De Gaulle this morning--90 minutes late but in time to make our 10:41 train to Milan. It leaves in a half hour, as you can see from the clock (nice it's still analogue :)  We arrived in Milan at 18:10, about 10 minutes late. 

Fortuitously, Christina, an old friend from my days working in New York at Deutsche Bank (in the '90s) was able to meet us for a lovely dinner (risottos, at a risotteria).  She married Alberto some dozen years ago and moved with him to Milan; the last time we saw each other was 8-10 years ago.  It was great to catch up. 

Backblipped the next morning, when we meet a British birding group for a week's tour.  I've added this to my tagged shadows series.
