Slipper Orchid

North American, not the rare British variety.

So, the friends that I thought were coming to stay for two nights in mid July are actually coming this time next week. This would be fine if we had finished decorating the guest room and had a carpet and a bed. Oops, my mistake.
W, being absentminded herself, and a friend of 49 years standing, so past being offendable, is happy to stay in bed and breakfast instead. Result....I only have to cook dinner on one night!
