Harold and Ernest

I found myself with a tear in my eye in this country churchyard. This is the grave of Harold and Ernest Deverill who were the 'fondly cherished and only sons' of their parents. They died in June 1886 by drowning in a side branch of the River Thames near their home aged 16 and 15.
The last line on their grave reads ' They were lovely and pleasant in their lives and in their death they were not divided'
I don't know if the statue is a likeness of them but I would like to think it is as they look so full of life and happiness.

I cant zoom in on others peoples blips but my friend can on her Ipad so for those of you that can't, a close up of the statue is in the extras today
