British Invasion Hits Portland

The Aladdin showcases a diversity of talents and you can always count on some old rockers. But I was amazed when I saw this marquee with Trower, Mayall and Nash. I stopped by to get this just before midnight.

The extra is a few blues albums lying around.
John Mayall's "Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton" came out July 22, 1966. The Cream had their first live performance one week later. That was quite a transitional time!

This was a 25 second exposure, and I get to share the sidewalk stage. My faint image is under the B in the Books sign.
