Cello Girl (2015.169)

This is Emma, seconds after completing her first recital as part of the Primary 6 Cello and Viola group.

We're approaching the end of term, and heads are starting to drop. But Emma's kept on at it, prepping for this concert (where she also played "Meet the Flintstones" in a piano solo). Earlier in the week she had a bit of an unexpected dismount from her bicycle during training for Bikeability. (In my day, that was called Cycling Proficiency!)

But she got back on the bike, passed that test, and then the following day smashed out successful performances in cello and piano.

I love photos like this, where she's looking right at me, full of appreciation that the work that she's done has paid off with success.
