Meet Bob

12 hours, two airfields (nearly said airports but one was RAF Brize Norton).

Got an unexpected call from Julia yesterday evening after she arrived from a few months in 'Cyprus'. Expected her to go straight to Henlow and then on to another camp where the unit is relocating to. She managed to get home for the weekend instead so drove to Brize to pick her up, took Jonty, who did his usual 'going berserk' thing that dogs do, but didn't get a photo.

Set off at 05:30 this morning to travel to Heathrow to pick up Favourite Mother in Law at T3 coming in from Chicago. Bit of a delay with the assistance so didn't see her until 09:15 but that's ok, she's home safe and sound. Didn't get a photo because she doesn't really like it.

Now for Bob and where he fits into all of this. While I was waiting I said to Bob, 'Do you think that sign will be big enough for people to see?', obviously being sarcastic because all the other 'greeters' had A4 size hand written signs with 'MR JOE BLOGGS' or a company name.
Bob, apart from the sign, is around 6ft 6in tall, so if they missed the sign they weren't going to miss Bob.
He turned out to be a really lovely chap who was greeting around 200 people coming for an association convention in London. I think you may be able to work out what the association is!
He had a couple of lady helpers and lots of drivers, well you would for 200 people wouldn't you! They were coming from all over the States so he's going to be there for some time I think.
I've given him my card so I can send him a link to this blip so hope I hear from him so he can see it for himself.
