Life from a City

Fuchsia

This plant is in the back garden. It suffered a bit with the building work, but has started to come back strong again. The buds have just opened, revealing the strong purple inside. I sat for a while watching one or two bees, venturing out after the rain. The bees would disappear up the central purple section, and it was often difficult to spot they were there at all. Outside was only constant movement. I guess fuschia's must be a good one for them, as the umbrella like petals protect from the rain, so in the centre of the plant it is relatively dry.
