Making A Splash

The local Gala made a splash today - generated lots of interest - and was well attended - even the rain stopped

The New Orleans Jazz Band - the Gala Queen and attendants - a float decorated by the local am dram society - walking tableaux - and children in fancy dress - or with decorated prams or bikes - all processed down the main street of the village - into the park

Upon arrival - there were teas to be had - coconuts to be knocked of stalls - ponies to be ridden - egg and spoon - sack - and caterpillar races to be won - amongst other things - which included the Water Splash - where ball is aimed at a button on this backdrop - if hit - a trigger releases of a bowl of water onto the person sat underneath
