Puzzle duck

A cold June day in Musselburgh, but we had a nice walk from the river mouth, round the sea wall and then across to the bird reserve before walking back to Goose Green. 46 different species we saw on our walk, but this duck on the river had us perplexed, but we now think its a female wigeon.
The sun came out in the afternoon to round off a good day.
